the promise
a funhouse mirror
real life
a moment of calm
nature in blurred reflection
ambiguity

I’ve been MIA for a bit, so thanks to Susi for luring me back with birds!

the promise

real life

I’ve been MIA for a bit, so thanks to Susi for luring me back with birds!

Thanks for the inspiration to Linda’s SoCS Challenge
impatient to shine
sunlight assails the night sky
a promise fulfilled

Thanks to Word Craft Poetry for the inspiration. For our synonym only challenge I’ve used impatient for eager and promise for hope
a promise broken
(like the bouquet of a rose,
as sweet as sugar,
veiling the sting of the thorn)
leaves a bitter bite

Inspiration for today’s tanka comes from Ronovan Writes and Sue’s Photo Prompt.
Sorry to Sue for taking her beautiful photo to a bit of a dark place, but that’s where the combo of sugar and bitter and roses led me!
as dark becomes dawn
day reveals a new promise
brilliantly composed

Thanks to Sammi Scribbles (illumination) and With Real Toads (seizing the day)
