This haiku was inspired by this wonderful piece of art by Vincent Giarrano provided courtesy of the photo challenge at Mind Love Misery Menagerie and by the train of thought inspired the word of the day (daredevil) courtesy of Tales from the Mind of Kristian.

engines went silent
the time to fly was over
mother nature won
I loved the peaceful feel of this photo by David Kovalenko but it also made me think of the orange one and his minion’s hysterical (and completely untrue) claim (let’s call it what it is—a lie) that the Green New Deal would abolish flying. This weird little haiku came out of that head space.
