I saw Helene’s What Do You See Challenge directly after reading the news of yet another infuriating decision to exert control over women. This month marks the the anniversary of the Kent State and Jackson State killings. This week, another shooter shot up another campus and the week before that another shooter shot up … and so on and so on…. Plus, I live in Florida where the @#*#@ legislature passed some truly awful things this week including arming teachers and stripping away voting rights with what is essentially a poll tax! I’ve struggled this past week or so. No muse or no hope or no energy … or all of the above. The world has got me down. But I’m determined to rise back up so thanks to Ronovan Writes for the word inspiration (friction and action for which I substituted tension and battle) and Suzi at I Write Her for the fantastic photo prompt courtesy of Dani Olivier
