This 15 word story was inspired by the photo prompt from Ronda Del Boccio courtesy of Rochelle’s always fun Friday Fictioners Challenge AND Sammi’s challenge to write about “silence’ in exactly fifteen words. For me, the photo and the idea of silence seemed a perfect match, so here we are …. 🙂
Dark seeps through the rift.
The creator of days persists
Still, the shadows grow.

weep for polar bears
sacrificed for avarice
as truth is denied
When I first saw this pic, I thought it was a sad polar bear looking down at the mess we’ve made. So here’s my second contribution. Thanks Sue!
ripples stir the calm
as indigo shadows fall
rising, she stands guard
I think the current craziness of my life is reflected in the direction (away from tranquil!) this haiku traveled! But much thanks to Sue for the photo prompt. It felt good to write a bit of something! ❤
