“she had it coming”

donning my own unique style

 BUT

why so sad

you’d be pretty if you smiled

throw a punch

shake a hand

your smile is the spark

rough words

polite talk

your smile is the spark

amusing tale

grim reaping

your smile is the spark

Don’t blame the prompts for my 44-word dark take. I’m just feeling cynical today. Check out both MLMM and dVerse for the rules and some great writing.

and all that jazz: the Sunday Whirl

draped in velvet fog

filmy thoughts and fingertips

a touch forgotten

reveal that moment

starlight strips back the curtain

the crowd roars your name

I love to try and create meaning with minimal words. Did I? Who knows?!

Thanks for the great inspiration.

Ballad of an Early Voter

nervous, feeling fear

touch the screen, colour the box

still the noise bangs on

“I don’t care, do you”? “Trust me!”

comfort your fear, use your spark

For this week’s Wordle Challenge, I managed to create a clumsy tanka that touched on my fear and use all the words: fear, noise, bang, colour, spark, use, touch, care, comfort, trust, feeling, nervous.
