Haiku & Other Poetry, tutto e niente

an unasked for stretch of the imagination (Sunday Whirl)

memories flutter

slinking into my still mind

fidgeting sparrows

the crash of a bell

unwelcome branches emerge

memories migrate

I love the challenge of making meaning out of random words. Not sure how well this succeeded but it was fun! Thanks Sunday Whirl.

Haiku & Other Poetry, Random Rants, tutto e niente

the world is on fire

the world is on fire

but still we say let’s do drinks

and analyze raw data

but it’s an art not a science

so we take no drastic measures

as we blame social media

then we wake to another shocking catastrophe

the world is on fire

As this might indicate, I’m full of sunshine and light this morning. HA! The muse goes where the muse goes, but I’m still hoping for a better day.

Thanks for a challenging Sunday Whirl. Check out the word prompts below.

Haiku & Other Poetry, Random Rants, tutto e niente

the return of the exiled wannabe king

rough like bark and brush

babbling water turns putrid

as the snake returns

with false speech and slight of hand

his rap still charms the sparrows

This Sunday, Benda gives us the following words in her Sunday Whirl:
hands brush water sparrows snake babbling slot rap piped bark exiled speech

Doesn’t really help to vent but I had to go where the words take me!
