Haiku & Other Poetry, tutto e niente

a memory lost

rummage in the nooks

a life built on faulty ground

a memory lost

two buried in a cranny

the mist becomes a refuge

Here I am–being melancholy again! Still thinking about time passing and aging and all that. Anyway, thanks to RDP (CRANNY) and FOWC (BUILT) for the the inspiration

Haiku & Other Poetry, tutto e niente

the end of the beginning of the end

walk me to the door

the end of the beginning

light repels the dark

the dark absorbs the twilight

the beginning of the end

Time passes so quickly. I find myself reflecting on beginnings and endings and the lights and darks of the middle. Thanks to FOWC (WALK) and Tanka Tuesday (REPEL/ABSORB) for the inspiration.

Haiku & Other Poetry, tutto e niente

crazy modern love

crazy love consumes

undone by your sublime text

heart eclipses mind

the moment permeates all

and the center cannot hold

Thanks to Reena and RDP for their inspiration. The words nutty, sublime text, and eclipse led to me this ode to crazy modern love, with a shout out to William Butler Yeats (and Joan Didion).

Haiku & Other Poetry, tutto e niente

buried fury

buried deep inside

embers turn to ash and bone

waiting for a spark

rekindled love fans the flames

the candle burns with fury

Today’s FOWC (CANDLE) and the WDYS photo prompt brought to mind fury and love and buried secrets… thus my bit of verse. Thanks to both for the inspiration.

Haiku & Other Poetry, tutto e niente

and all that jazz: the Sunday Whirl

draped in velvet fog

filmy thoughts and fingertips

a touch forgotten

reveal that moment

starlight strips back the curtain

the crowd roars your name

I love to try and create meaning with minimal words. Did I? Who knows?!

Thanks for the great inspiration.
