engines went silent
the time to fly was over
mother nature won
I loved the peaceful feel of this photo by David Kovalenko but it also made me think of the orange one and his minion’s hysterical (and completely untrue) claim (let’s call it what it is—a lie) that the Green New Deal would abolish flying. This weird little haiku came out of that head space.

Dark seeps through the rift.
The creator of days persists
Still, the shadows grow.
