Thanks to Freya for choosing another one of my haiku for her ‘disintegrate’ themed session. It’s an honor. Please visit Pure Haiku to read it as well as many other wonderful choices.


She planned to go at first light. But as the rays filtered through the slats, she felt a moment of doubt.
No! It had to be now. If she didn’t go now, she’d never go.
Her ‘no’ spun into a maybe until it was a yes. Then she’d be stuck.
Forever.

No!
Now beckoned. She followed.

falling for Peter
Tinker Bell took a tumble
and her light went out

This fun little haiku (or this statement on the dangers of falling for an immature emotionally stunted man-child) was inspired by Ronovan Writes Haiku Challenge (tumble / tinker).
Yearning for closure
To repair my broken heart
But the hole remains

Both the lovely photo and the word prompt (yearning) inspired a sense of longing in me so thanks to Sue’s Write Photo Challenge and Tales from the Mind of Kristian for giving me a chance to explore that feeling.
