This week’s provocative question(s) from Fandango:
Are you currently on Twitter?
I do have a Twitter account. I don’t Tweet myself but it used to be a pretty good forum for info and entertainment. In the past, I primarily used it to keep up with current news and to follow my favorite authors, social justice warriors, and historians. The latter, in particular, offer fantastic context for current events. Since Musk (and his obvious right-wing crush and thin-skinned small dick fragile ego) took over, Twitter’s usefulness has diminished greatly and its ugliness has exploded. I’m rarely on it anymore.
Have you heard of Threads and are you likely to open up a Threads account?
I have heard of Threads and many of my favorite follows have migrated over to it. I don’t love the idea of giving Zuckerberg more of my business, but I’m probably going to give it a try. I already have an Insta account so it’ll be easy.
If so, will you maintain your Twitter account or will you move exclusively to Threads?
I’ve never been an active Tweeter, so I will probably let it go dormant and see what happens with Threads. Who knows, maybe the baby man will dump it and it will return to its previous level of stupidity / usefulness.
Absolutely NOT. If a cookie (or biscuit for my-non USAers) is meant to be soggy then it should come that way. And if we’re talking American biscuits, if they are made right then they don’t need dunked. They are already soft and buttery doughlishishness.
What is your favourite biscuit/cookie?
Soft sugar cookies. Mmmm. Or hot chocolate chip cookies. YUM. Or oatmeal chocolate chip … Can’t lie. I love almost all cookies. Except if you stick raisins in them. Which is wrong on every level.
Have you ever baked your own biscuits/cookies?
Does slice and bake count? Just kidding. I have baked American biscuits and cookies from scratch. Not often but enough to know, I’m no baker.
