memories unbound
dusky hunger-sated nights
giving way at dawn

A tale to be told?
Once brothers in law but now
eternal neighbors.

in the pauses (a tanka)
Dreams for tomorrow.
Fingertips tracing my face
with child like wonder.
Love growing in the pauses
as our hearts beat together.
