the moon turns its face
and the sea mourns salty tears
as summer burns hot
harmonic breaking
turmoil as a design flaw
my chaotic mind

Thanks to Susi for the great prompt to create one senryu and one haiku to accompany the image (above). As a remember, a traditional haiku describes nature or a season, while a senryu focuses on human nature and emotions.
The moon, the sea and the summer are truly in harmony in your first piece, and the second is a great comparison to the human state at times! Brilliant, Tina! So happy that you joined in. 🙂 Will you be participating in The Short of It this submission cycle?

Thanks Susi.
Things have been a bit chaotic of late but I’m trying to get back into some good writing habits. I still have the email in my inbox so I must be hopeful!
