alone in her room
unbridled inspiration
becomes a best friend
Penitence” by Fritz Zuber-Buhler (1822-1896)
This piece was inspired by this piece of art (provided by bookplaces Museum Writing challenge) and the following quote (offered by Reena’s Xploration challenge). Visit their sites and read some other inspired works.
“I think if you are curious, you create opportunities, and then if you open the doors, you create possibilities.”
– Mario Testino
Beautiful image! And it doesn’t feel like penitence at all. The girl is sure to do wonderful things.

Wow! The bunny is unbridled and the little girl’s inspiration is unbridled. That inspiration becomes her best friend because it may carry her away from her room. I like how you used the quote and linked it with your poem. That little girl sees opportunities and possibilities as the writer of the quote said. I wish children nowadays would have more freedom to explore their imaginations instead staring at a phone or computer! Thank you for visiting my blog and writing a beautiful response to the painting, Tina. 🙂
